The Newton Eco-Team Project is a group of volunteers promoting a conservation strategy to reduce the carbon footprint of households throughout Newton by saving energy and conserving resources. Because more than 40% of Newton’s total carbon footprint is produced by the residential sector, we can make a significant contribution toward the city’s carbon reduction goals.
We find one of the most cost-effective and timely strategies to reduce one’s energy costs, and reduce Newton’s overall carbon emissions, is to schedule a no-cost home energy assessment and to take advantage of the generous utility rebates. Newton Eco-Teams has chosen to partner with energy efficiency leader, Next Step Living to conduct your assessment and carry out any weatherization work you choose to move forward with. Newton Eco Teams will work closely with you to help you through the process.
